A 19-year-old Baltimore man pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder on April 19 in connection to allegedly shooting a 26-year-old man earlier this year.
Arnell Lee appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Kendra Y. Ausby on Tuesday when he accepted the prosecution’s plea deal of 30 years, suspending all but 15, and three years of supervised probation for attempted second-degree murder and a concurrent five years for firearm use during a felony violent crime.
The defendant was arrested for allegedly shooting a man multiple times on the 2400 block of Liberty Heights Avenue on Jan. 23.
In addition to the charges listed in the plea offer, Lee was originally charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, and discharging firearms within Baltimore City.
He was represented by defense attorney James Rhodes.
