A juvenile has been arrested for the murder of a 34-year-old man on June 1.

The Baltimore Police Department has reported the arrest of a 16-year-old man after the incident on the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue around 1:20 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where a 34-year-old man was found suffering from an apparent gunshot to the body.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect attempted to flee the location on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers that also recovered the handgun from the suspect, said police. Detectives believe the killing stemmed from an argument.

Following his arrest, the juvenile was taken to Central Booking, where he has been charged as an adult with first and second-degree murder.
