June Death Initially Ruled a Suicide Upgraded to a Homicide

On June 24, at approximately 12:17 a.m., Western District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department responded to a home on the 1400 block of McCulloh Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 37-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he later died.

The victim, later identified as 37-year-old Lamar Magwood, death was believed to be a suicide.

Investigators continued to investigate this case and on Aug. 21, the death was upgraded to a homicide.
