July Homicide Count Just Shy of Prior Month

Baltimore Witness recorded 28 homicides in the city of Baltimore from July 1 to July 31, 2021, just shy of the 30 homicides recorded in June.

The majority of the recorded homicides occurred in the Eastern District for a total of seven, followed by five homicides in both the Southern and Western districts and four homicides in both the Northwestern and Southeastern districts.

There was also one homicide in the Northern District and one in the Southwestern District, while the location of one homicide is unknown.

According to the Baltimore Police Department, there have been 199 homicides so far in 2021.
