Judge Sets Trial for Non-Fatal Shooting Defendant for November

A Baltimore man charged with a non-fatal shooting was scheduled to begin trial before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn on Oct. 24.

Prosecutors offered the defendant two sentences of 25 years in prison, suspending all but five years with three years of supervised probation upon release for two counts of first-degree assault to run concurrently.

Defense attorney Henry Barnes declined on behalf of the defendant.

The defendant is charged with two counts each of first and second-degree assault, armed carjacking, carjacking, armed robbery, robbery, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, theft valued between $100 and $1,500, theft valued between $1,500 and $25,000, theft valued less than $100, two counts for false imprisonment, and two counts of reckless endangerment in connection with an incident on April 10.

Judge Phinn scheduled the trial for the defendant to begin trial on Nov. 10 and continue on Nov. 14 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn Stewart Mays.
