On April 12, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn postponed the start of trial for a non-fatal shooting defendant.
Defendant Michael Crispino, who is represented by Warren Brown, was set to start his trial on Wednesday, but the prosecutor assigned to the case was in court for another case.
Judge Phinn rescheduled the 43-year-old defendant to start trial on Sept. 26 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Videtta Brown. The trial is expected to last three days.
According to the Maryland Judiciary website, Crispino is charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and discharging a firearm in connection to an incident on 1500 Parksley Road on Aug. 29, 2021.
According to police documents, on the day of the incident, the victims were attempting to serve Crispino with court-related documents. When the victims arrived at the defendant’s house, Crispino told the victims to get off his porch and that he would let his dogs loose. As the victims returned to their car, they heard a gunshot and saw Crispino pointing a gun at their vehicle. The victims were unharmed and were able to record the interaction.
