Judge Sets Attempted Murder Defendant’s Trial Date

Baltimore City Circuit Court’s Judge Melissa K. Copeland set a trial date for a 49-year-old attempted murder defendant after he rejected a plea deal from the prosecution in an April 24 hearing.

Stevenson Reid is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of ammunition, carrying or wearing a handgun on his person, carrying a loaded handgun on his person and firing and discharge in Baltimore City and  two counts of firearm possession with a felony conviction in correlation with an incident on Aug. 12, 2023. 

Judge Copeland set the trial date for June 20. The trial is expected to last three days. Reid is set to appear with his attorney Marci T. Johnson in front of Judge Barry G. Williams.
