On Dec. 12, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer sentenced a homicide defendant to life in prison, suspending all but 25 years with five years under supervised probation.
Omarion Anderson, 21, is charged with first-degree murder in connection to the murder of 31-year-old Efraim Gordon on May 3, 2021. The incident occurred on the 3700 block of Fords Lane.
Defense attorney Natalie Finegar stated that Anderson has accepted responsibility for his actions.
Finegar spoke briefly about Anderson’s background, saying that he and his sister were separated from their mother when Anderson was nine years old. Both were placed in foster care. Finegar also noted that Anderson was impaired by hearing and learning disabilities.
She said Anderson felt threatened at the crime scene and thought about helping Gordon, but ultimately ran away.
Anderson also claims that he is not well acquainted with co-defendants William Clinton III, Rasheed Morris, and William Holloman who were allegedly involved in stealing Gordon’s car. They were all found guilty last summer.
On Dec. 10, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn sentenced Holloman to life in prison, suspending all but 50 years.
For his part, Anderson apologized to Gordon’s family and stated he is a different person now.
Gordon’s family demanded justice for the victim, begging Judge Schiffer to impose the maximum sentence for murder
There are no further hearings scheduled in this case.
