Judge Schedules Trial For Defendant Charged in Shooting

Absent Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Dana M. Middleton presided over reception court on Friday morning.

Lonzo Lucas, 29, was on the docket. He is charged with firearm use in a felony-violent crime, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, carrying a handgun on his person, carrying a loaded handgun on his person, reckless endangerment, and discharging a firearm within Baltimore City in connection to an incident in May of this year.

Defense attorney Daniel Moony stood in for Robert D. Cole Jr to speak on behalf of Lucas when scheduling the trial date. At this time, no plea offer has been made by the prosecution.


Lucas is scheduled to begin his trial on Feb. 5, 2024, in front of Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey M. Geller.
