Co-defendants accused of committing attempted murder in September were scheduled for trial before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn on Feb 3.

Defendants Leonidas Solanos-Campos and Kendrick Kendall Barksdale are facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, second-degree assault, conspiracy to commit second-degree assault, as well as several firearm-related charges in connection to an incident which occurred on Sept. 10, 2022.

The prosecution offered Solanos-Campos, 23, a plea of ten years, suspending all but time served with three years of probation for conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. The defendant was also required to stay away from the victim.

Barksdale, 19, was offered a plea of 60 years, suspending all but 20 years, with the first five years without the possibility of parole for conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and a concurrent five years minimum for the use of a firearm in a felony violent crime. The defendant was also required to stay away from the victim and register as a gun offender.

Solanos-Campos and Barksdale both rejected the plea offered to them.

Judge Phinn scheduled a trial date for Solanos-Campos and Barksdale for June 26 with Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Yolanda Tanner presiding. The trial is expected to last two days.
