Three co-defendants accused of murder rejected a plea offer from the prosecution on Jan. 10 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifier Schiffer.
Justin Westbrook, 25, Theodore Richards, 36, and Antuan DuBose, 32, are charged with two counts of first-degree murder and use of a firearm during a violent crime in connection to an incident on June 10, 2021.
Westbrook is also charged with having a handgun on his person and having a handgun in a vehicle.
During reception court on Monday, Judge Schiffer listened as the prosecutor offered Dubose, Westbrook, and Richards the same plea of life for first-degree murder and 20 years, with the first five years without parole for use of a firearm in a violent crime. The charges are set to run consecutively.
Dubose, Westbrook, and Richards and their defense attorneys James Rhodes, Brandon Patterson, and Robert Cohen, respectively, rejected the plea offers.
According to Baltimore Fox, on June 10, 2021, officers were called to the 1800 block of West North Avenue for reports of shots being fired, where they found 36-year-old Damon Bailey suffering from a gunshot wound.
The three co-defendants are set to be tried together on Aug. 22 with Judge Dana Middleton.
