Terrell Parker, an attempted murder defendant, appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Dana M. Middleton on Sept. 26 to schedule his trial date.

Parker, 27, is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, having a loaded handgun on his person, having a handgun on his person, illegal possession of ammunition and discharging a firearm within Baltimore City in connection to an April 13 incident.

Donald Wright, Parker’s defense attorney in this matter, was not present in court, but his attorney for the drug case was. Maureen Rowland and the stand-in prosecutor requested a January trial date, but Judge Middleton told them to find an earlier date, in the interest of Parker’s speedy trial right.

The parties agreed that Parker will appear in both cases before Judge Martin P. Welch on Dec. 11 as a backup to the primary cases scheduled that day.
