Judge Schedules Attempted Murder Defendant for Trial in December

A 28-year-old Baltimore man charged with attempted murder rejected a plea of 30 years in prison, which set his trial for December on Aug. 2 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn

Kevin Waters is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, use of a firearm during a crime of violence, wear/carry a handgun on person, discharging a firearm, and reckless endangerment in connection to an incident on March 10. 

Waters was offered a plea deal of 30 years in prison for attempted first-degree murder and 5 years without parole for use of a firearm during a violent crime.

Waters’ is represented by defense attorney Josh Insley.

Waters’ trial is scheduled for Dec. 7.
