Two defendants who are currently being held at the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Youth Detention Center were denied bail Sept. 23.

One defendant, William Holloman, who is being charged as an adult in a homicide case, went before Judge Cynthia Jones for a bail revocation. In the homicide case, he is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder and firearm use by a felon during a violent crime for an incident that occurred on July 1.

According to the prosecution, 16-year-old Holloman was released on home detention on July 23.

On July 26, he cut off the monitoring device.

He was indicted in the murder case on Aug. 3.

Holloman also has another case pending against him for handgun possession and other offenses. A warrant was filed for his arrest.

Holloman’s defense attorney, Robert Linthicum, requested that the judge quash the warrant in the homicide case because Holloman was already being held on the handgun charge.

However, Judge Cynthia Jones decided not to quash the warrant and revoke the defendant’s bail. Holloman has a codefendant, Darell Parker, in the homicide case.

Both defendants are scheduled for a zoom hearing on Jan. 5, 2022.
