Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Levi S. Zaslow rescheduled the attempted murder trial of a 31-year-old defendant due to the prosecutor’s having another trial.
Larry Winder III is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, having a handgun on his person, discharging a firearm in Baltimore City and firearm use in a felony violent crime for an Aug. 20, 2023, incident on the 4800 block of Beaufort Avenue.
Defense attorney Roland Harris spoke about potentially having a three-day trial with four witnesses, one of whom he said would only be available Oct. 3.
Following that, Judge Zaslow stated that the trial would reset for Oct. 2.
This week’s trial will be Winder’s second, after Judge Melissa M. Phinn declared a mistrial in May due to a hung jury.
