On April 14, a Pennsylvania resident accused of a non-fatal shooting had his hearing postponed due to the defendant not being transported to Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Defendant Tyrell Whitt, who is represented by Christopher O’Meara, is charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of use of a firearm during felony violent crime, having a loaded handgun on his person, having a handgun on his person, two counts of discharging firearms, illegal possession of ammo, and possession of a firearm as a minor in connection to an incident on June 28, 2022.
According to court documents, on the day of the incident, officers were called to the 700 block of W. Lombard Street for reports of a shooting. In an attempt to stop the defendant, an officer pulled out his gun when the 21-year-old defendant stopped without resistance and complied with the officer.
Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Phinn postponed the defendant’s hearing until April 17.
