Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn S. Mays postponed a 21-year-old defendant’s case to December in an Oct. 8 hearing.

Dontay McKoy is facing charges of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony violent crime, possession of a firearm as a minor, carrying a handgun and discharging a firearm in connection to a Feb. 15 incident.

Defense attorney Martin Cohen noted that neither counsel would be available on Friday, when the trial was expected to end.

Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled the new trial date to be Dec. 4.
