Baltimore City Circuit Judge Melissa K. Copeland postponed the trial of a 36-year-old attempted murder suspect until Feb. 25, 2025. The action came in a reception court hearing on Nov. 21

Patrice Lankford, 46, is charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, loaded handgun on her person, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit assault, using a firearm in the commission of a felony or violent crime, and carrying a concealed loaded handgun on her person.

Defense attorney Augustine Okeke and the prosecution agreed to the postponement even though the prosecution was ready to proceed to trial.

The prosecution offered Lankford a plea agreement under which she would serve life in prison, suspend all but 25 years, which Lankford declined.

Judge Copeland informed Okeke and the prosecution that this would be the last postponement she would accept.

The three day trial will be moved to Baltimore City Circuit Judge Sylvester B. Cox.
