Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale E. Rasin found attempted murder defendant Brian Strawder competent to stand trial on March 5.

Strawder, 33, faces more than 20 charges, including multiple counts of attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault and burglary, reckless endangerment, and related firearm and conspiracy charges in connection to the Oct. 19, 2023, shooting of a 46-year-old woman on the 800 block of North Eutaw Street.

Strawder was charged alongside 31-year-old Kateira Womack and 32-year-old Phillip McCoy. Womack accepted a plea offer on Nov. 18, 2024, and McCoy is set for trial before Judge Levi S. Zaslow beginning on May 21.

Judge Rasin has not yet set a date for Strawder’s jury trial because counsel requires further time to review evidence..
