On Nov. 21, Baltimore City Circuit Judge Anthony Vittoria dismissed an attempted murder case against a 20-year-old defendant but the reasons were undisclosed.
Mandyae Turner, 20, was charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, three counts of reckless endangerment, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, having a loaded handgun on his person, firing a gun in Baltimore City, and carrying a handgun within 100 yards of a public place.
Defense attorney Roya Hanna speculated the case was dismissed for lack of evidence Turner was the perpetrator of the March 1 incident.
Hanna believes the victim believes Turner was responsible because the two were brawling some two years ago. Surveillance footage the other person involved in the altercation was wearing a ski mask.
