On June 6, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer denied bail to an attempted murder defendant after prosecutors revealed surveillance footage of the incident.
Rholand Gooden is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, having a handgun on his person and use of a firearm in a felony violent crime.
Gooden, 19, has yet to be scheduled for a hearing yet.
On April 23, Southern District officers spotted a 40-year-old male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the left knee at Anne Arundel County Hospital.
Investigators discovered the victim was at the corner of 1500 block of Cypress Street when the shooting occurred but didn’t seek medical treatment at the time of the injury.
During the investigation, detectives used surveillance evidence to identify Gooden as the suspect and issued an arrest warrant on May 2.
Gooden is expected to appear in reception court for scheduling on Sept. 26.
