A 47-year-old man accused of firing a gun in the air during a fight will remain held without bail following a hearing on Oct. 11.

Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer presided over Wednesday’s bail review when she said she could not find good cause to release Mark Adain Jackson in connection to the non-fatal shooting on Aug. 14.

Defense attorney Marianne Lima informed the court that Jackson has no convictions in Maryland, but two convictions in New York, the most recent of which was from 2003. However, she said, none of his convictions involved a firearm.

Jackson is currently scheduled to return to reception court on Dec. 8. His charges include firearm possession with a felony conviction, having a handgun in a vehicle, having a loaded handgun in a vehicle, having a handgun on his person, having a loaded handgun on his person, illegal possession of ammunition and firing and discharging a firearm as well as two counts of second-degree assault.
