Trial Set for Suspect in Decade-Old Double Homicide

Scott Barnett, 45, appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Copeland on June 27 to set a date for the trial of a double homicide from 2014.  Barnett is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and use of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure.  According to charging documents, the victims, Terril Lehman, 51, and Charles Webster, 46, were allowing Barnett and the mother of his child to live in the basement of their home on the 1600 block of Ralworth Road. Judge Sentences Potee Street Homicide Defendant to Life in Prison

On June 30, a 33-year-old defendant charged with first-degree murder received a maximum sentence of life in addition to 50 years in prison despite claiming she was forced by her codefendant to participate in the kidnapping, murder and burning of Tiffany Jones.  The prosecutor expressed how the defendant, Bobie Barncord, who is represented by Janine Meckler, should serve a life sentence plus 50 years for assisting in kidnapping Jones and setting her on fire before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge John A.
