Homicide Investigation Underway in Southern District

On Aug. 1, at approximately 4:44 p.m., Southern District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department responded to the 4800 block of Pennington Avenue to investigate the discharging of a firearm.

Once at the location, officers located 38-year-old Darrell Oliver victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. A Baltimore City Fire Department medic pronounced Oliver deceased at the scene.
