Homicide Detectives Notified Following Shooting in Northeast District

On March 13, at approximately 1:02 p.m., Northeast District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to the 2600 block of Polk Street for reports of a shooting.

Upon arriving at the location, officers observed a 32-year-old Andre Simms suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

On March 14, Simms died from his injuries
