Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn rescheduled a trial for a Baltimore resident charged with homicide to September on Feb. 8.
Rawnes Gibbs, 22, is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, and conspiracy to first-degree murder, having a handgun on his person and having a handgun in a vehicle in connection to an incident on Oct. 18. 2018. He has a co-defendant. Terrance Belton‘s trial was also rescheduled.
The trial, which was slated to begin on Feb. 8 was postponed due to the suspension of jury selection with the rise of COVID-19 cases.
Gibbs’ was represented by defense attorney Bryan Mobley.
Gibbs’ trial is scheduled for Sept. 27.
