A homicide case was scheduled to return to court during reception court at Baltimore City Circuit Court on Aug. 11.

Baltimore resident Timothy Horsey is charged with first-degree murder, having a handgun on his person, and illegal possession of a firearm. He also faces three counts of firearm use in a violent crime in connection to a homicide on Oct. 11, 2020.

Horsey, 28, is represented by defense attorney Jonathan Kerr.

On Wednesday, defense attorney Shannon Heery, standing in for Kerr, said a plea offer was still being negotiated with the prosecution.

Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled the case to return to court on Sept. 20, with Judge Melissa M. Phinn presiding, to accept a plea offer or go to trial. This appearance would fall more than a month before Horsey’s Hick’s date of Oct. 23.
