Homicide defendant Zachariah Allison rejected an undisclosed plea offer on Feb. 21, with plans to proceed to trial.

During Tuesday’s proceedings, defense attorney Andre Mahasa informed Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn Mays that his 18-year-old client was rejecting the prosecution’s plea offer, the details of which were not discussed in open court.

Judge Mays scheduled Allison’s case for reception court on Feb. 22 to give the prosecutor time to find another assistant state’s attorney to stand in for her as she is set for another trial.

In addition to first-degree murder, Allison is also facing two weapons charges, reckless endangerment, third-degree burglary, and second-degree assault for an incident on Aug. 10, 2021.
