A 34-year-old homicide defendant rejected a plea of life on Sept. 26 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Troy Peace Jr. is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, and two counts of possession of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Oct. 16, 2021.
Peace and his defense attorney, Jason SIlverstein, rejected a plea of life, suspending all but 50 years for first-degree murder and five years without the possibility of parole for use of a firearm during a felony violent crime.
Peace’s trial is scheduled for March 21, 2023. It is expected to last four days with Judge Kendra Y. Ausby presiding.
