A homicide defendant rejected a prosecutor’s plea on July 7 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Alex Benbow is charged with first-degree murder in connection to an incident on Jan. 20.
The prosecutor presented a plea of life, suspending all but 50 years, with five years of probation for first-degree murder.
The prosecution has turned over all evidence except for DNA evidence to the defense.
Benbow is represented by defense counsel, Josh Insley.
Benbow’s next court date is scheduled for Aug. 16.
