According to the Maryland Judiciary website, two attempted murder co-defendants had their hearing scheduled for a jury trial to begin on May 15. However, due to the prosecutor being unavailable. Both cases were sent to reception in order for counsel to pick a new trial date towards the end of the week.
Keisha Clark, 46, and Tyrelle Fields, 39, are facing charges of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, robbery, and theft as well as several firearm-related charges in connection to allegedly shooting a 49-year-old man on the 700 block of N. Paca Street on May 5, 2021.
Before Baltimore City Circuit Judge Melissa Phinn, Fields was offered a plea of life, suspending all but 25 years, with the first five years without the possibility of parole and five years of supervised probation for first-degree attempted murder and the use of a handgun in commission of a crime of violence.
Clark was offered a plea of life, suspending all but 15 years, with the first five years without the possibility of parole and five years of supervised probation for first-degree attempted murder and the use of a handgun in commission of a crime of violence.
Upon release, the defendants would have to stay away from the victim, who suffered from a gunshot to his leg and arm.
The co-defendant’s next hearing was scheduled for May 18.
