A Baltimore man accused of attempted murder has bail hearing skipped on March 4 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Phillip S. Jackson.

Antonio Chase, 52, is charged with possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, carrying/wearing a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, discharging firearms, and illegal possession of ammo in connection to an incident on June 5, 2021.

During a bail hearing on Friday, Judge Jackson was informed that the defendant is housed in the medical unit and unable to attend the hearing. The defendant’s defense attorney, Warren Brown, could not waive his presence because he himself was not present and attended other matters.

Due to the circumstances of this case, Judge Jackson skipped the hearing.

According to Maryland’s Judiciary website, Chase’s next hearing is scheduled for April 8.
