On Sept. 14, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn scheduled the first reception court hearing in a case with a defendant charged in connection to a non-fatal shooting incident.

Tyresse Flemming, 19, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm possession with a felony conviction, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, firearm use in a felony violent crime, carrying a handgun and firing a gun in Baltimore City.

According to a Baltimore Police Department press release, on July 20, Flemming is accused of shooting at a Baltimore City man on the 5000 block of E. Preston Street. Fleming was found roughly eight days later, with Baltimore Police arresting him on the 700 block of Villager Circle in Baltimore County.

He was represented by defense attorney John Cox. However, Cox was not present in court on that day for reasons unknown to Baltimore Witness. The prosecution made no plea offer.

Judge Phinn scheduled the next reception court hearing for Dec. 14. This will be Flemming’s  first proper reception court date.
