Fatal Vehicle Collision Reported in Northeast District

On Feb. 15, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Northeast District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the intersection of Moravia Road and Interstate 895 to investigate a report of a motor vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was attempting to make a turn when it collided with another vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located eight victims. A 39-year-old male passenger of one of the vehicles was found unresponsive and suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries this morning.

The remaining seven victims were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) investigators were summoned to the scene and assumed control over the investigation.
