Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland scheduled a trial on Oct. 22 for a 28-year-old man accused of killing two victims last year.
Defense attorney Roya Hanna is representing Lamonte Sherman who is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of firearm use, handgun on a person, and illegal possession of a firearm in connection to an incident on Dec. 3, 2023.
Detectives arrested Sherman for allegedly killing 28-year-old Phillip Brown and 28-year-old Michael Saffold during an argument on the 3600 block of Greenmount Avenue.
Judge Copeland scheduled a five day trial beginning March 12, 2025 with the judge yet to be determined.
