On Sept. 1, at approximately 7:05 p.m., officers were patrolling on the 1100 block of East Madison Street when they heard discharging in the area.
Officers immediately located a 12-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where he is currently in stable condition.
