On July 14, at approximately 8:56 a.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to a residence on the 800 block of Abbott Court to investigate a call for service. Once inside, officers located a deceased adult female with trauma to the head, who was later identified as 38-year-old Sierra Johnson.
While on the scene, officers canvassed the immediate area and located the suspect, 36-year-old Bryan Cherry, on the 1300 block of Homewood Avenue and arrested him.
Detectives believe that Cherry had physically assaulted 38-year-old Sierra Johnson, resulting in her death.
Detectives transported Cherry to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder and additional charges.
