The trial for a 21-year-old defendant involved in a road rage incident was postponed at the request of his defense attorney before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

Troy Barnes is facing 11 charges, including attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, firearm use in a felony violent crime, illegal possession of a firearm, and other related offenses.

The charges stem from a road rage incident on Feb. 28 that resulted in the victim being shot multiple times.

Defense attorney Christopher O’Meara requested the postponement, citing his upcoming departure for paternity leave.

Judge Melissa K. Copeland rescheduled Barnes’s trial for March 4, 2025.
