Defendant Rejects Plea Offer in Child Homicide Case

On July 12, a 22-year-old homicide defendant rejected a plea offer in reception court before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.  

Shaun Bullock Jr. was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in severe physical injury, child abuse of a child under 18 in connection an incident on Nov. 15, 2021. Bullock is represented by Andre Mahasa.  

The prosecution’s plea offer to Bullock was life, suspending all but 30 years, with five years of supervised probation for a guilty plea to first-degree child abuse resulting in severe physical injury. The prosecution said that this plea offer would only be on the table until Aug. 30. 

Mahasa rejected the plea offer on Bullock’s behalf. 

Bullock’s four-day trial is scheduled to begin on Oct. 15 before Judge Barry G. Williams
