A jury delivered a mixed verdict for a Ramsay Street homicide defendant before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Lynn S. Mays on July 26.
The jury acquitted Alphonso Ward, 47, of first-degree murder, but found him guilty of second-degree murder and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure for killing 41-year-old Kevin Miller. Ward was represented by Marci Johnson in court.
The sentencing hearing has not been scheduled yet.
According to a Baltimore Police Department press release, on Oct. 13, investigators arrested Ward in connection to the stabbing on the 1600 block of Ramsay Street in the Southwest District.
