On March 17, a defendant charged with discharging a firearm failed again to appear in court for a parole violation scheduled before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Phillip S. Jackson.

On Friday, defendant Alfred Caldwell did not appear in court despite multiple attempts to contact him, according to his probation agent.

The assistant state’s attorney assigned to the case also informed the court that their office had previously had difficulty contacting Caldwell. This was the third time the defendant had failed to appear for court and has additional cases in Arundel County which he has not been present for, said the prosecutor.

Judge Jackson granted the prosecutor’s request and issued a warrant for the arrest of the defendant, effective immediately.

Caldwell, 36, is charged with discharging a firearm and violating his 2021 probation.

According to charging documents, on March 3, officers responded to a call regarding the discharging of a gun on the 5200 block of Eastbury Avenue. When police arrived, they spoke with the security guard on shift, who was able to identify a white male seen shooting at a dumpster.
