A Baltimore man who allegedly committed vehicular manslaughter was given a plea offer on Oct. 18 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Charles Burnell Dailey Jr., 29 is charged with vehicular manslaughter in connection to an incident on Feb. 14, 2020.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecution presented a plea of three years suspending all but time served with five years supervised probation for vehicular manslaughter. However, the plea could change seeing as this offer is not definite, according to the prosecution.
Daily and his defense attorney, Tony Garcia, have not yet decided whether or not to accept the plea offer. In addition, Dailey decided to waive his Hicks date, which is his right to be tried within 180 days of his first court appearance.
Dailey’s trial is scheduled for Feb. 7, 2022.
