A man charged with murder in Baltimore City and Baltimore County rejected a plea Sept. 28. A trial date was set for his during reception court.
Angelo Wiles, 36, is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime, and firearm possession with a felony conviction.
The prosecution offered him life, suspending all but 50 years, and five years of probation for first-degree murder; 20 years, first five without parole, and five years of probation for firearm use in a felony violent crime; and 20 years, first five without probation, for firearm possession with a felony conviction. These would be served concurrently.
A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge set a trial date for April 5, 2022; however, it was noted that this might be changed due to a pending matter in Baltimore County where he is currently being incarcerated.
In Baltimore County, Wiles is charged with first-degree murder, robbery, assault, and handgun charges in relation to an incident on Nov. 17, 2019.
