A Baltimore woman allegedly involved in a non-fatal shooting rejected a plea offer on Nov. 30 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.
Shakira Anderson, 37, is charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, first degree assault, use of a firearm during a violent crime, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, handgun on his person, handgun in his vehicle, discharging firearms, wearing/carrying a handgun within 100 yards of a school, wearing/carrying handgun in vehicle within 100 yards, illegal possession of ammo, conspiracy to first degree murder, conspiracy to first degree assault, conspiracy to use a firearm in a violent crime, and handgun in vehicle.
She was charged in a connection to an incident on March 23.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of 25 years, suspending all but five years for first degree assault and three years supervised probation as well as a stay away order from the victim for use of a firearm during a violent crime.
Anderson and her defense attorney Catherine Flynn, rejected the plea. In addition, Anderson decided to maintain her Jan. 9, 2022 Hicks date, which is her right to be tried within 180 days of her first court appearance.
Anderson’s trial is scheduled for June 22, 2022.
