A 27-year-old woman convicted of manslaughter in 2016 had a probation violation Zoom hearing rescheduled for March after a postponement on Jan. 23.
Elera Osara accepted a guilty plea for manslaughter and use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure in September 2016 in connection to the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Christopher Carter on Feb. 21, 2016.
Her Zoom hearing was rescheduled for March 21.
According to CBS Baltimore, Osara and Carter were arguing over money at the time of the incident. Baltimore Police were called to the 700 block of W. Lafayette Avenue around 2:30 a.m. when they found Carter with a stab wound to the chest.
The Maryland Judiciary website reports that Osara accepted a plea of ten years, suspending all but five years, and three years of supervised probation for manslaughter and a consecutive three years for use of a deadly weapon with the intent to injure.
