On Sept. 1, a prosecutor requested a postponement before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge John S. Nugent so the disposition hearing could be held in person.

Sean Braxton-Carter was convicted on May 2 of two counts of first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Feb. 2, 2020.

According to the State’s Attorney’s Office, 33-year-old Braxton-Carter was found guilty of the murder of 29-year-old Marvin Kosh on the 2200 block of W. Saratoga Street.

Defense counsel Hunter Pruette had no objections to holding the matter in person. Pruette also informed the court he had filed a motion for a new trial.

Judge Nugent granted the request informing the court that the hearing will be held on one of his collateral days.

Braxton-Carter’s next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 1.
