A 23-year-old Columbia resident allegedly involved with first-degree murder with two other co-defendants rejects plea offer before Baltimore Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

Vincent Harris is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a violent crime, first-degree assault, and conspiracy to commit assault, in the fatal shooting of Jacob Coates, 37, on July 29, 2020 in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore.

Along with Harris, two alleged accomplices, Marlow Moore, 20, and Daiquan Anderson, 23, are also charged with first-degree assault related to the incident.

Harris’s defense attorney, Josh Insley, spoke on Harris’s behalf and declined a plea offered by the prosecution for life suspending all but 50 years, with 5 years of probation for first-degree murder.

Judge Phinn scheduled the five-day trial for Mar. 21, 2022.
