Two Baltimore co-defendants had their trial scheduled for March on Sept. 29 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Thomas Addison Brooks and Steven David Jones Jr. are charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, conspiracy to use of a firearm during felony violent crime, carrying a handgun on his person, and conspiracy to wearing a handgun on his person in connection to an incident that occurred on the 1000 block of East 20th Street.
According to a CBS Baltimore News, the victim was shot numerous times in the leg and rushed to an area hospital. He survived the shooting.
Brooks’, 35, and Jones’, 20, defense attorneys Tony Garcia and Andrea Jaskulusky, respectively, rejected a plea of 30 years, suspending all but 15 years with four years supervised probation for first-degree attempted murder.
The co-defendants’ trial is scheduled for March 29, 2023, and is expected to last six days with Judge Yvette M. Bryant presiding.
