A Baltimore City Circuit Court judge scheduled a September trial date for 28-year-old Rico Blick, who is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint alongside his co-defendant in December 2021.

Blick’s co-defendant, 30-year-old Kevin Ellis, was recently set for trial this July.

On March 28, Blick and his defense attorney, Andre Mahasa, appeared before Judge Melissa Phinn to set a trial date. Counsel agreed on a three-day trial before Judge Lawrence Daniels, beginning Sept 26.

The incident in question occurred on Dec. 7, 2021, when the victim told Baltimore Police that he was waiting for food on the 1800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and two unknown black men drove up to him in a Hyundai Sonata. After the men robbed the victim, one of them then fired a gunshot at him as they drove away.

Blick and Ellis were arrested the next day after a brief car chase with police.
