Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn continued a homicide defendant’s hearing on Jan. 13 for a week due to counsel being unable to agree on a trial date.
Kevin Hall, 34, is charged with first-degree murder, three counts of second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree attempted murder, three counts of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, three counts each of first and second-degree assault, along with several firearm charges in connection to an incident on Oct. 10, 2020.
According to court documents on the day of the incident officers were called to the 4800 block of Erdman Avenue for reports of a shooting. On arrival, officers were unable to find the victim.
It was later learned that the victim was taken to hospital, said police. The victim was transported to John Hopkins hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Hall’s defense counsel argued for a speedy trial seeing as his client has been incarcerated for two years.
Hall’s next hearing is scheduled for Jan. 23.
